Rotary Club of Sutherland invites you to listen to one woman’s inspiring story.

Gemma Sisia is an Australian, originally from Armidale, who visited Tanzania and saw children drifting through life without an education. In her light bulb moment, she visualised a school where there was none, and made this ambitious decision “ I’m going to build a school !”

And build The School of St. Jude she did!  From one small building 24 years ago, the campus now comprises 3 Schools with 350 staff members. 1,800 students receiving free education, with 1,500 students boarding.

Gemma will be accompanied by alumnus Faith Samwel who will also speak, and Johnson who will assist on the night.
